CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 79 <br />By: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND <br />COMMUNITYDEVELOPMENT TO MAKEAPPLICA TION ONBEHALFOF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR THE 1024 CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT PROGRAM, • FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ACCEPT FUNDS, IF AWARDED, AND TO EXECUTE A <br />CONTRACT AS REQUIRED; AND DECLARINGANEMERGENCYY, <br />WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County recently announced the 2024 Supplemental Grant Program <br />and the City of North Olmsted is eligible to apply for up to $50,000 in funding for a variety of capital <br />improvement projects, including Americans with Disabilities Act compliance; and <br />WHEREAS, the administration intends to apply for funding, among other things, to install a <br />LULA lift at the North Olmsted Old Town Hall; and <br />WHEREAS, although no specific matching funds are required as a condition of grant <br />approval, the administration anticipates that additional funding and/or in-kind contribution of <br />equipment, labor and City services will be necessary to accomplish the capital improvement projects; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and <br />Community Development to apply for such funding and, if granted, to further authorize the Mayor to <br />execute a contract required to accept such funding. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development be and he is <br />hereby authorized to apply for funding from Cuyahoga County for the 2024 Supplemental Grant <br />Program in order that the City of North Olmsted may participate in funding of up to $50,000 for <br />capital improvement projects, including installation of a LULA lift at Old Town Hall. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to accept the said funding, if <br />awarded, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted and to execute a contract, if required. <br />
