CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 79 By: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITYDEVELOPMENT TO MAKEAPPLICA TION ONBEHALFOF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR THE 1024 CUYAHOGA COUNTY SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT PROGRAM, • FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT FUNDS, IF AWARDED, AND TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT AS REQUIRED; AND DECLARINGANEMERGENCYY, WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County recently announced the 2024 Supplemental Grant Program and the City of North Olmsted is eligible to apply for up to $50,000 in funding for a variety of capital improvement projects, including Americans with Disabilities Act compliance; and WHEREAS, the administration intends to apply for funding, among other things, to install a LULA lift at the North Olmsted Old Town Hall; and WHEREAS, although no specific matching funds are required as a condition of grant approval, the administration anticipates that additional funding and/or in-kind contribution of equipment, labor and City services will be necessary to accomplish the capital improvement projects; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and Community Development to apply for such funding and, if granted, to further authorize the Mayor to execute a contract required to accept such funding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO. SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development be and he is hereby authorized to apply for funding from Cuyahoga County for the 2024 Supplemental Grant Program in order that the City of North Olmsted may participate in funding of up to $50,000 for capital improvement projects, including installation of a LULA lift at Old Town Hall. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to accept the said funding, if awarded, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted and to execute a contract, if required.
