CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -121 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE LORAIN ROAD CORRIDOR <br />STUDY FOR THE PURPOSE OF GUIDING THE DEVELOPMENT <br />OF A TRANSPORTATION FOR LIVABLE COMMUNITIES <br />INITIATIVES (TLCI) PLAN, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Economic and Community Development, in <br />accordance with policy recommendations of the 2015 Master Plan has directed the <br />professional services of City Architecture to conduct a Lorain Road Condor Study, a <br />copy of which is on file and incorporated herein by reference; and <br />WHEREAS, the Corridor Study will serve to facilitate the development of a <br />Transportation for Livable Communities Initiatives (TLCI) Plan for the City of North <br />Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the TLCI Plan, in tum, will provide guidance and serve as a <br />framework for developing a complete street and greener corridor, identifying changes to <br />public infrastructure to keep up with modem developments/c=ent trends, and <br />encouraging non -motorized transportation such as walking and bicycling, as well as <br />variants such as small -wheeled transportation (skates, skateboards, push scooters, and <br />hand carts) and wheelchair travel; and <br />WHEREAS, the TLCI Plan formulated from this study will serve as a blueprint <br />from which transportation and infrastructure policy decisions will be made for the Lorain <br />Road Corridor in the future; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration now seeks the adoption of the Study's <br />recommendations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Design Commission, at its meeting of January 24, <br />2024, reviewed and recommended the Lorain Road Corridor Study, dated October 9, <br />2023, for adoption by City Council pursuant to Charter Article VIL, Section 2(d), <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to adopt the Lorain Road Corridor <br />Study, dated Aetebef 9,2923 August 9. 2024 and to incorporate the recommendations <br />thereof for purposes of future planning and development of public and private <br />improvements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />
