CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2024 - 98 BY: Mayor Jones AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REESTABLISHING SECTION 161.11 OF CHAPTER 161 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "NON - BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEE BENEFITS" IN ORDER TO ADJUST ACCUMULATED VACATION LEAVE. WHEREAS, in order to attract and retain employees to the City of North Olmsted in a highly competitive labor market, it is the desire of the administration to alter the Accumulated Vacation Leave Policy of the City in order to allow the Administration to accept a lateral employee's vacation time credits accumulated prior to date of transfer to the City; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, consistent with the recommendations of the Administration, to adopt an amendment of Section 161.11 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Accumulated Vacation Leave." NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO. • SECTION 1: That Section 161.11 of Chapter 161, "Non -Bargaining Unit Employee Benefits," of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, which presently reads in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, attached to this Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein, shall be amended, and as amended, shall read as set forth on Exhibit A, with such amendments noted by strikethrough and boldface text. SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re -codification. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
