Council Clerk: <br />Ordinance 2024-121, introduced by Mayor Jones. An emergency Ordinance enacted by the City <br />of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio hereinafter referred to as the Municipality, in the <br />matter of the hereinafter described improvement and requests the cooperation of the County <br />of Cuyahoga, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the County, and declaring an emergency. <br />Council Clerk: <br />Legislation on first reading: <br />Resolution 2024-123. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase one (1) new 2025 <br />International Model HV507 Salt Truck at a cost of $95,192.00 from Rush Truck Centers through <br />the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all contract <br />documents, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mayor Jones: <br />Mr. President, I introduced place on first reading and request suspension of the rule requiring <br />three readings and formal committee review. <br />Councilman Shymske: <br />Second. [laughter] <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist <br />Mr. President, at this time I would like to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal <br />committee review as this was discussed in Caucus and the salt truck went from purchase price <br />original of $77,420.00 to $95,192.00, so we need to get this vehicle purchased before the price <br />goes up again, and I ask for a second. <br />Councilman Shymske: <br />Second. <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist: <br />Council President Brossard: <br />All right, we have two seconds.
