An Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses <br />and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2024, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Mayor Jones: <br />Mr. President, I introduce place on first reading and request suspension of the rule requiring <br />three readings and formal committee review. <br />Councilman Glassburn: <br />Mr. President, I move to suspend the rule requiring three readings and formal committee <br />review. As was reviewed in Caucus and to a limited degree in the Finance Committee the <br />previous week, this is all the transactions that need to happen to close out the books for the <br />2024 year. The most notable item of which is the sweeping of Federal ARPA funds to ensure <br />that they're all appropriated and expendable before, consistent with current and pending <br />Federal changes to that program, which provides for the health, safety and welfare of the city <br />across the board, and ask for a second. <br />Councilman Limpert: <br />Second. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review for <br />Ordinance 2024-129 made by Councilman Glassburn, seconded by Councilman Limpert.
