CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 13 <br />BY: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />RENEWED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH <br />CUYAHOGA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT TO <br />PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WITH THE PUBLIC EDUCATIONAND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br />MEASURES FOR ITS MUNICIPAL STORM WATER PERMIT <br />(MS4), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the City has previously entered into a Memorandum of <br />Understanding ("MOU") with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District to <br />provide Public Intervention / Public Education; and <br />WHEREAS, the previous MOU is expiring; and <br />WHEREAS, public intervention / public education are required under the City's <br />Municipal Storm Water Program MS4 permit; and <br />WHEREAS, the City requires the professional services of the Cuyahoga Soil and <br />Water Conservation District to effectively and efficiently administer the required public <br />intervention and public education requirements necessary under the City's MS4 permit; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to enter into a renewed Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District to provide <br />assistance to the City with the public education and public participation measures for its <br />MS4 permit. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into a renewed <br />Memorandum of Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District <br />to provide assistance to the City with the public education and public participation <br />measures for its MS4 Permit, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and <br />incorporated herein by reference, which is in all respects hereby approved. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />
