CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -1 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE ASPHALT RESURFACING AND RELATED REPAIRS UPON CITY STREETS, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN THE DIVISION OF ENGINEERING, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the City is in need of asphalt repair services for various streets within the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, the City will utilize such asphalt repair and resurfacing services to further complete roadway rehabilitation as detailed in the annually updated comprehensive street repair list; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to undertake asphalt resurfacing and related repairs on various City streets, as set forth in specifications on file with the City Engineer, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a contract for asphalt resurfacing and related street, sewer and/or curbing repairs upon City streets, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
