The topic of discussion was 2025-12, a Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to make an application to the Department of Transportation (ODOT) for a Safe Routes to School Program. The Mayor explained how there was a collaborative effort with the city and the school district to create this travel plan, and it would need to get accepted by ODOT. Director Upton added that this is a 100% grant through ODOT, and there's no match required. Following this, a motion was made to favorably recommend 2025-12. It was seconded and passed 3-0, and this concludes my report. Council President Pro Tempore Scarl: Thank you, Councilman. Councilman Marcie, Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee, do you have a report this evening? Intra -Governmental Relations Committee Councilman Marrie: Yes, Mr. President Pro Tem, I do. Thank you. The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, January 28th at 7:01 p.m. Present were Committee members Marcie, Gilchrist, and Shymske, Council members Madden, Hemann, Limpert, and Scarl, Council President Brossard, the Directors of Law, Economic Development, Public Safety, HR, and the Special Assistant to the Mayor and guests. First on the agenda was to interview Council's appointment of Mr. Vince McKee to the Parks and Recreation Commission. Mr. McKee provided counsel with his background information, which included being a lifetime resident of North Olmsted. He also discussed his involvement with the community, including his vast knowledge of area parks and playgrounds. Council President Brossard and all members of Council thanked Mr. McKee for his willingness to volunteer and expressed that his background and knowledge make him a perfect fit for the commission. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend the appointment of Mr. Vince McKee to the Recreation Commission. At this time, I move to approve the appointment of Mr. Vince McKee to the Recreation Commission for the unexpired term of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2026 and ask for a second.
