CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2025 —12 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OFTRANSPORTATION (ODOT) SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL GRANT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, ODOT is accepting applications for grant funding of infrastructure improvements identified in the school travel plan accepted by ODOT District 12; and WHEREAS, the Safe Routes to School Grant program will reimburse 100% of eligible costs for all phases of qualified infrastructure improvements within 2 miles of K-12 schools, including engineering and right or way construction, with awards of up to $1,000,000.00; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and Community Development to apply for said financial assistance from ODOT. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development be and he is hereby authorized to apply for grant funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the Safe Routes to School Grant Program. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to accept the said funding, if awarded, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted and to execute a contract, if required; and that the Director of Economic and Community Development be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute all other non -contract documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant. SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and afterthe earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
