CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 34 <br />BY: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A <br />DONATION FROM THE NORTH OLMSTED SOCCER ORGANIZATION <br />(NOSO) TO PROVIDE A NEW AUTOMATED EXTERNAL <br />DEFIBRILL4TOR (AED) FOR USE AT BARTON BRADLEY PARR, AND <br />DECL AR ING AN EMER GENCY. <br />WHEREAS, NOSO has graciously offered to donate a new Zoll 3 AED (Automated <br />External Defibrillator) for use at Barton Bradley Park for the 2025 soccer season, valued at <br />$2,312.00, to assist the City's compliance with Ohio House Bill 47 mandating AED's at <br />recreational facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor requests that Council recognize and accept this generous <br />donation, pursuant to Section 131.06 of the Administrative Code, and join in her expression of <br />gratitude on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, as this equipment is to be deployed at Barton <br />Bradley Park for the safety and benefit of the entire community; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor to accept the donation of AED <br />equipment worth $2,312.00, with the sincerest appreciation of this Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OFNORTH OLMSTED, COUNTYOFCUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Ohnsted authorizes the Mayor to accept the <br />donation of a new Zoll 3 AED, valued at approximately $2,312.00, from NOSO and further <br />authorizes the Mayor to execute any documents required for the donation of said equipment. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that immediate authorization will expedite delivery in time for the 2025 soccer <br />season and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED: t�(I,— 20 s— <br />A EST: <br />BEATRICE YEORU <br />O <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: y <br />Second Reading: S�-/SozS <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: �y,�a�su^cL <br />'J <br />LObISJ BROSSARD <br />President of Council <br />
