Council Clerk: Resolution 2025-47, introduced by Mayor Jones. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to advertise for bids for the award of a contract for the Springvale Ballroom Driveway installation and improvements project, as detailed in specifications on file with the City Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2025-48, introduced by Mayor Jones. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the installation of traffic signalization and pavement markings for the intersection of Walter and Lorain Roads, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Division of Engineering, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2025-49, introduced by Mayor Jones. A Resolution approving the Solid Waste Management Plan as adopted by the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste Management District and declaring an emergency. Legislation on first reading. Resolution 2025-50. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to apply for a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources ("ODNR") in the amount of $150,000.00 as part of ODNR's Natureworks Grant Program for playground equipment in North Olmsted City Parks, and further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant and execute all grant documents, and declaring an emergency. Mayor Jones: Mr. President, I introduce and place on first reading, and request suspension of the rule requiring three readings and formal committee review. Councilwoman Hemann: Mr. President. Council President Pro Tempore Scarl: Councilwoman. Councilwoman Hemann: I now would like to make a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings, because this was discussed in our budget meetings and in past meetings with the Recreation Director. This was discussed in caucus this evening. The grant application is due fairly soon, and we need to replace the playground equipment, it's really not safe for the children, and I'd like to move this forward and ask for a second.
