Councilwoman Hemann:
Mr. President.
Council President Brossard:
Councilwoman Hemann.
Councilwoman Hemann:
Thank you. I'd like to make a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal
committee review. This was reviewed in caucus this evening and reported out as a Committee
report this evening. This happens to actually be in the best interest of public safety and their
enjoyment, and I'd like to ask for a second.
Councilman Scarl:
Second.
Council President Brossard:
Motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review for
Ordinance 2025-61 made by Councilwoman Hemann, seconded by Councilman Scarl. Roll call,
please.
Council Clerk:
Ms. Hemann: Yes
Mr. Scarl: Yes
Mr. Limpert: yes
Ms. Gilchrist: Yes
Mr. Madden: Yes
Mr. Marrie: Yes
Mr. Shymske: Yes
Council President Brossard:
That motion passes by a vote of 7-0. If there is anyone in the audience who wishes to address
Council regarding Ordinance 2025-61, please approach the podium now.
Mr. Jeff Sturgeon:
Tell me, would that $76,000? Is that a one-time fee, or is that every year we're going to have to
pay $76,000?
Council President Brossard:
I can answer that. That's a one-time fee, and then there's recurring annual fees of about
$4,600.
Councilwoman Hemann:
Mr. President, that's the total of all of that, and the one-time fee is included in that, so it's a
little bit less than the 76, and it's like $4,200 a year maximum, is the recurring.
06-:17-25 Council Meeting Minutes Page 1.2
