support of this amendment with no opposition, the Commission's recommendation was <br />unanimously accepted by Council and the Committee of the Whole concluded at 7:12 <br />p.m. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Councilman Scarl, Chairman of the Finance Committee, do you have a report this evening? <br />Finance Committee <br />I do, Mr. President, thank you. <br />Finance Committee met on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 7:12 p.m. Present were Committee <br />members Scarl, Limpert, Marrie, Council Members Madden, Hemann, Gilchrist, the Mayor, <br />Directors of Law, Finance, HR, Economic Development, Safety, Service, Recreation, and Guests. <br />• First on the agenda was Resolution 2025-53, the Alternative Tax Budget for 2026. <br />Director Copfer explained the Alternative Tax Budget that will be submitted to the <br />Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer and Budget Commission to show need to collect tax and <br />ensure debt service is covered, after which the Resolution 2025-53 was recommended <br />to Council by a vote of 3 to 0. <br />• Next on the agenda was Ordinance 2025-54, Then and Now Certificates. The Mayor, <br />Director Copfer, and the other Directors reviewed the violations and noted that most <br />invoices were for the upcoming year time period, and not for services or goods <br />purchased prior to the invoice date. The Administration stated they will continue to <br />improve and monitor this going forward. Ordinance 2025-54 was recommended to <br />Council by a vote of 3 to 0. <br />• Next was Ordinance 2025-55, the Transfer Ordinance. Director Copfer reviewed the <br />items included in the Transfer Ordinance with Council. Some of those items were <br />additional monies for Council Chambers and Caucus Audio/Visual, Contracting Help for <br />IT, 2024 RetroPay for Dispatch per their union contract, and an increase in our WEB <br />dues. After explanations were heard on the requests, Ordinance 2025-55 was <br />recommended to Council by a vote of 3 to 0. <br />• The last item on the agenda was Ordinance 2025-59, Purchase of Chestnut, Maple, and <br />Pine Intermediate Schools from the North Olmsted City School District for <br />$3,330,000.00. Director Upton explained the city intends to purchase the school <br />properties in order for the city to have some say in what is being built in our <br />neighborhoods, and after some discussion that Ordinance of 2025-59 was <br />recommended to Council by a vote of 3 to 0 and the Finance Committee concluded at <br />8:06 p.m. That concludes my report Mr. President. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Thank you.
