Finance Committee I do, Mr. President, thank you. Finance Committee met on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 7:12 p.m. Present were Committee members Scarl, Limpert, Marrie, Council Members Madden, Hemann, Gilchrist, the Mayor, Directors of Law, Finance, HR, Economic Development, Safety, Service, Recreation, and Guests. • First on the agenda was Resolution 2025-53, the Alternative Tax Budget for 2026. Director Copfer explained the Alternative Tax Budget that will be submitted to the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer and Budget Commission to show need to collect tax and ensure debt service is covered, after which the Resolution 2025-53 was recommended to Council by a vote of 3 to 0. • Next on the agenda was Ordinance 2025-54, Then and Now Certificates. The Mayor, Director Copfer, and the other Directors reviewed the violations and noted that most invoices were for the upcoming year time period, and not for services or goods purchased prior to the invoice date. The Administration stated they will continue to improve and monitor this going forward. Ordinance 2025-54 was recommended to Council by a vote of 3 to 0. • Next was Ordinance 2025-55, the Transfer Ordinance. Director Copfer reviewed the items included in the Transfer Ordinance with Council. Some of those items were additional monies for Council Chambers and Caucus Audio/Visual, Contracting Help for IT, 2024 RetroPay for Dispatch per their union contract, and an increase in our WEB dues. After explanations were heard on the requests, Ordinance 2025-55 was recommended to Council by a vote of 3 to 0. • The last item on the agenda was Ordinance 2025-59, Purchase of Chestnut, Maple, and Pine Intermediate Schools from the North Olmsted City School District for $3,330,000.00. Director Upton explained the city intends to purchase the school properties in order for the city to have some say in what is being built in our neighborhoods, and after some discussion that Ordinance of 2025-59 was recommended to Council by a vote of 3 to 0 and the Finance Committee concluded at 8:06 p.m. That concludes my report Mr. President.
