CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -17 <br />BY: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE 2025 <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, Article VII, Section 2(b) of the City Charter currently provides for <br />the City Planning and Design Commission to prepare a Comprehensive Plan for the City <br />every ten (10) years; and <br />WHEREAS, said Article V11, Section 2(b) further provides that said <br />Comprehensive Plan prepared every ten (10) years shall be submitted to the City Council <br />for its approval or revision; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2024, under the Direction of Economic and Community <br />Development Director Max Upton, city staff, supported by a diverse steering committee <br />of residents and community stakeholders, launched the Comprehensive Plan review <br />process for the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the review process created an opportunity for community input to <br />chart the future of North Olmsted through the creation of the 2025 Comprehensive Plan; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the 2025 City of North Olmsted Comprehensive Plan encompasses <br />many aspects of community life including, but not limited to, commercial development, <br />housing, environment, economic development and transportation; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2025 City of North Olmsted Comprehensive Plan shall serve as <br />the key policy guide for decision making concerning the developed and natural <br />environment in the City of North Olmsted and shall serve as an aggressive agenda for <br />action over the next decade; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Planning and Design Commission completed its preparation <br />of the new 2025 City of North Olmsted Comprehensive Plan and approved the said <br />Comprehensive Plan at a public meeting held on the 16th day of January 2025; and <br />WHEREAS, a full and complete copy of said 2025 City of North Olmsted <br />Comprehensive Plan is on file in the office of the Director of Economic and Community <br />Development; and <br />
