Chapter 6 Economic Development Strateev: To cultivate a diverse, dynamic, and evolving economy that leverages our city's strengths in location, transportation network, existing small <br />and large businesses, existing building stock, and redevelopment opportunities to preserve a solid tax base, increase high -quality jobs, attract investment, and ensure long-term prosperity. We will <br />position the city for focused and sustainable growth. <br />6.1 Economic Development Goal: Facilitate redevelopment of underutilized office buildings and shopping plazas, especially along the Lorain Road Corridor and Great Northern Mall area, and work <br />to activate any underutilized parcels or spaces. Green space and reduced parking areas should be included in any redevelopment. <br />6.1a Expand the Storefront Revitalization', -Lorain Road, Brookpark Extension, and G <br />Program with particular attention to strip Fa4ade revitalization, storefront graphics <br />centers along main corridors. <br />*6.Jb Adapt and re -purpose aging and <br />-City-wide <br />Short -Long <br />obsolete office buildings to encourage <br />-Focus on two major corporate centers Great Northern and:Milienium Corporate Centers) for <br />?
