CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO.2025 - 71 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH FARO TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF A FARO FOCUS CORE 3D REPLACEMENT SCANNER <br />TO BE USED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AT A COST OF $48,997.23 <br />FUNDED THROUGH THE EQUITABLE SHARING FUND AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety, together with the Police Chief, have <br />recommended that the City of North Olmsted purchase a new FARO Focus Core 3D scanner <br />with accessories (scanner head, Status Indicator, Quick Release, Battery, Power Dock, Power <br />Supply, SD card and reader, transport case, calibration certificate, quick start guide) warranty <br />and training; and <br />WHEREAS, this equipment is utilized for crime scene and evidence mapping as well as <br />accident reconstruction; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement to purchase a FARO Focus Core 3D scanner and accessories at a cost of $48,997.23, <br />which will be funded through the Equitable Sharing Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to purchase a FARO Focus <br />Core 3D scanner at a cost of $48,977.23, and the Mayor is further authorized to execute <br />additional contract documents, as may be necessary, the legal form for which shall be subject to <br />review by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately to insure <br />availability and price during the order period; and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its pas age and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED:, ��-r����' First Reading: <br />/ Second Reading: 9-/9 -� <br />Third Readin& <br />Committee: _ k <br />
