Council President Pro Tempore Scarl: <br />Liquor Permit 10005612-1 is not objected to by a vote of 7-0. <br />Councilman Shymske: <br />• The second item on the agenda was Resolution 2025-70, FLOCK License Plate Readers. <br />This would allow the City to purchase eight new license plate readers at a cost of <br />$24,000 to be installed at eight intersections. After some discussion, the motion to <br />recommend to the rest of Council with suspension passed by a vote of 3-0. <br />• The third item on the agenda was Ordinance 2025-71, Faro Focus Core 31) Scanner. <br />These scanners can do imaging of crime scenes and accidents. It updates the old one <br />purchased in 2018, at a cost of $48,997.23. After some discussion, the motion was made <br />to recommend to the rest of Council by a vote of 3-0. <br />• The fourth item on the agenda was Resolution 2025-73, Berea Dispatch. This allows the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement with the City of Berea for dispatching police and fire, <br />a three-year agreement at $455,436.00 per year with a 3% increase every year. The <br />motion was made to recommend to the rest of Council by a vote of 3-0. <br />• And the final item on the agenda was Ordinance 2025-74, 5035 Porter Road. This would <br />allow the City to demolish this home. It has been a public nuisance for many years. The <br />homeowner has made no effort to rectify any of the problems with the home. It has <br />been condemned and is now a public safety concern. The City will make all efforts to <br />offer mental health and temporary housing services to the resident. The motion was <br />made to recommend to the rest of Council under suspension by a vote of 3-0, and the <br />Public Safety, Health, and Welfare Committee concluded at 8:08 p.m. <br />Council President Pro Tempore Scarl: <br />Thank you, Councilman Marrie, Chairman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee, do <br />you have a report this evening? <br />Councilman Marrie: <br />Yes, I do. Thank you, Mr. President Pro Tem. The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met <br />on Tuesday, August 12th, at 8:08 p.m. Present were Committee Members Marrie, Gilchrist and <br />Shymske, Council Members Madden, Hemann, Scarl and Limpert, the Mayor, Directors of <br />Finance, Law, Economic Development, Public Safety, Service, HR, and Special Assistant to the <br />Mayor and Guests. <br />• First on the agenda was the reappointment of Mr. Keegan Radeff to the Tax Incentive <br />Review Council. Mr. Radeff spoke and gave information on his background, including <br />being a CPA, MBA, and holding other finance and accounting credentials. Mr. Radeff is <br />currently in good standing, and he was thanked for his willingness to volunteer. The <br />Committee voted 3-0 to recommend the reappointment of Mr. Keegan Radeff to the <br />Tax Incentive Review Council. <br />At this time, I move to approve the reappointment of Mr. Keegan Radeff to the Tax Incentive <br />Review Council for the unexpired term of January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2028, and ask <br />for a second. <br />08 1.9 25 Council Meeting Minutes Page 9 <br />
