Councilwoman Hemann:
May I have the floor, please? Thank you. Sir, as your Ward 4 Councilwoman, I have other
residents that are concerned. One of the neighbors, Ms. Lawrence-Auten, has a tablet that if
you'd like to leave your contact information, e-mail, phone number, name, address, you can be
getting notices from our Clerk of Council with regard to the committee meeting that will be set
up about this legislation. Tonight is just the first reading. There's no activity beyond that this
evening. There will be Planning Commission hearings that you can receive a notice to, zoning.
There will be, you know, lots of other things, and I would encourage you to participate in those
because part of that is the effort then to sort of work with the residents, you know, in that area
and affected to see, you know, what concerns you have and how they may or may not be
alleviated. But that would be the opportunity that you actually get to participate and speak
about the plan and your concerns. So if you'd like to do that, I would strongly encourage it, so
that you can actually, you know, attend those meetings and participate. Thank you. And if
there's anyone else in the audience who would like to, you know, sign up on that as well, that
would be great. Thank you.
Council President Brossard:
Alright. Seeing no other comments from the audience, we will now move into legislation.
LEGISLATION
Council Clerk:
Legislation on second reading.
Resolution 2025-87, introduced by Mayor Jones. Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as
determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying
them to the County Fiscal Officer.
Councilman Scarl:
Mr. President?
Council President Brossard:
Councilman Scarl.
Councilman Scarl:
At this time I move to suspend the rule requiring three readings for Resolution 2025-87. This
was discussed in committee last week and suspension is necessary to meet the County's
deadline for this tax resolution, and I ask for a second.
Councilman Limpert:
Second.
Council President Brossard:
Motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings for Resolution 2025-87. That is made by
Councilman Scarl, seconded by Councilman Limpert. Roll call please.
10-07-25 Council Meeting Minutes Page 'l.7
