CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 -102 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE AND <br />FINANCE THROUGH THE HOTEL MOTEL FUND ONE (1) 2025 <br />POLARIS RANGER XPI000 UTILITY VEHICLE; AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH PURCHASE, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted Police Department would like to purchase, <br />through the Hotel Motel Fund, a Polaris Ranger XP 1000 utility vehicle with a rescue litter, from <br />Concord Motorsports located in Concord, Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety and the Police <br />Chief that this specialized vehicle be purchased at a cost of $30,499.00; and <br />WHEREAS, this UTV can provide law enforcement officers with enhanced mobility and <br />agility and access to remote areas for search and rescue as well as enhanced community <br />engagement; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to <br />purchase from Concord Motorsports said vehicle for the North Olmsted Police Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to purchase one (1) Polaris <br />Ranger XP1000 from Concord Motorsports at a cost of $30,499.00. Any contract executed by <br />the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and <br />be approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to <br />ensure availability of the vehicle; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: C,'q'mA k e -xs— First Reading: <br />Second Reading:� <br />Third Reading: S� <br />Committee: lu f /k <br />
