CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO.2025 -125 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE 2026 SIDEWALK PROGRAM, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE DIVISION OF ENGINEERING, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the 2026 Sidewalk Program will address existing sidewalk code violations in several designated areas, in order to improve safety for pedestrian travel; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and Community Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the 2026 Sidewalk Program, as set forth in specifications on file with the City Engineer, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a contract to provide construction services for the 2026 Sidewalk Program, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
