Happy New Year. <br />• Last month, our community experienced a profound loss with the passing of Officer Tony <br />Smerk. Officer Smerk was more than a dedicated public servant. He was a valued colleague, a <br />trusted protector, and a member of our extended city family. His loss is deeply felt across our <br />police department, fire department, dispatch center, and throughout City Hall, and by our <br />residents who knew and respected him. We honor Officer Smerk's memory with gratitude for <br />his service and by standing in unwavering support of his family, friends, and co-workers during <br />01-06-26 Councii Meeting Minutes - Page 3 <br />
