CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2026 - 4 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD <br />OF A CONTRACT FOR THE RESURFACING OF DOVER CENTER ROAD, <br />PHASE 2, FROM BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD TO A LOCATION 400 FEET <br />NORTH OF MILL ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AS DETAILED <br />IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, the City Administration has determined to proceed with Phase 2 of resurfacing on <br />Dover Center Road from Butternut Ridge Road to a location 400 feet north of Mill Road; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and <br />Community Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to perform resurfacing on <br />Dover Center Road, Phase 2, from Butternut Ridge Road to a location 400 feet north of Mill Road in <br />the City, as set forth in specifications on file, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by <br />the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to resurface Dover Center Road, <br />Phase 2, from Butternut Ridge Road to a location approximately 400 feet north of Mill Road in the <br />City of North Olmsted, as detailed in the specifications on file, and that the Mayor, following approval <br />by the Board of Control, is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the <br />lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: I7t20� <br />U <br />AITTEST.- <br />g <br />BEATRICE TAYL�Z <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: <br />MAYOR NICOLE DAIL <br />Ir <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: a -17 a? 4 <br />Committee: ajc� <br />LOU J.
