Councilwoman Carr, do you have a Streets and Transportation Committee report? <br />Streets and Transportation Committee <br />Councilwoman Carr: <br />Yes, Mr. President. On behalf of Councilwoman Gilchrist, the Streets & Transportation <br />Committee met on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 7:25 p.m. in the Caucus Room. Present were <br />Council President Brossard, Committee Members Gilchrist and Scarl, Council Members Limpert, <br />Carr, Marrie, and Madden, the Mayor, the Service Director, the Safety Director, the Recreation <br />Director, the Economic Director, the HR Director, the Law Director, and the Finance Director <br />and guests. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Resolution 2026-10, Concrete and <br />Materials Bid. <br />• The meeting started with a discussion on Resolution 2026-10, a Resolution authorizing <br />the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to <br />purchase concrete materials and related supplies for the year 2026, as detailed in the <br />specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Director Kearney <br />discussed this Resolution is for the annual bids for concrete needs. Cost of concrete is <br />$160 a yard for high-test concrete, and $140 for average concrete.
