CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2026 -1 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOL UTIONA UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF RECREA TION AND <br />PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD <br />OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE <br />SPRINGVALE BALLROOM ENTRANCE RENOVATION PROJECT, AS <br />DETAILED IN SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST <br />BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement recommends that the <br />City of North Olmsted advertise for bids to enter into a contract for construction services for the <br />Springvale Ballroom Entrance Renovation Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the project will include, among other improvements, removal of the current <br />canopy and framework, removal of the west -facing shingled roof overhang and removal of the <br />double doors; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Recreation and <br />Public Engagement to advertise for bids for construction services for the Springvale Ballroom <br />Entrance Renovation Project, as required by law, and to authorize the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder for the same, following Board of Control approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for construction services for the Springvale Ballroom <br />Entrance Renovation Project in accordance with the bid specifications now on file, and that <br />following approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into <br />a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest date provided for by law. <br />PASSED: <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading. 01:y7-,2_ <br />Third Readin : $-3 - -_6_ <br />Committee: • -"�- <br />
