CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2026 - 21 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TOADVERTISE FORBIDS FOR DIESEL FUEL AND GASOLINE <br />PRODUCTS FOR USE BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AS PER <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, AFTER <br />APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SUCH PRODUCTS, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City requires diesel fuel and gasoline products for 2026 and the <br />Department of Public Service seeks authorization to initiate bid procedures. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Department of Public Service is hereby authorized to advertise for <br />bids for diesel fuel and gasoline products for use in the City of North Olmsted, in accordance with <br />specifications on file, and that upon approval and award by the Board of Control to the lowest and <br />best bidder, that the Mayor is further hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the <br />same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further for <br />the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately to maintain fuel <br />supply; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED. �Qo2 _ First Reading: .5-3—,.7L <br />Second Reading: - 17 <br />ThirdReading:s� <br />Committee: <br />ATTEST: n <br />BEA TRICE TAYLOR L IS J BROSSARD <br />Clerk of Council ) President of Council <br />APPROVED.I rV" l k D APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM: <br />Is/ Michael R.
