CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO.2026 - 39 BY: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW FAIR WAYMOWER FROM BAKER VEHICLES FOR USEAT SPRING VALE GOLF COURSE THROUGH THE OMNL4 COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PROGRAMATA COST OF $92,438.20AND DECLARINGANEMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Springvale is in need of a replacement fairway mower for proper maintenance of the course; and WHEREAS, the current 2006 model fairway unit has 4006 hours which is equivalent to 240,000 miles; and WHEREAS, Omnia is a cooperative purchasing program for government and education agencies designed to solicit and establish competitive pricing; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor that the City purchase a Jacobsen LF570 fairway mower, with related equipment, from Baker Vehicles through the Omnia Cooperative Purchase Program at a cost of $92,438.20. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to purchase a Jacobsen LF570 fairway mower, with related equipment, from Baker Vehicles through the Omnia Cooperative Purchase Program at a cost of $92,438.20. The Mayor is further authorized to trade in the used models (Toro Reelmaster Fairway mower and Toro Greensmaster mower) to Baker for a total in price of $4,500.00. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is necessary for this legislation to go into effect immediately in order that the City replace aging and vital equipment required to maintain Springvale Golf Course during the summer months of 2026 when reliable equipment is essential to continued operations; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
