CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2026 - 35 <br />BY: Mayor Jones <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO <br />OBTAIN REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS ("RFP'9 FROM QUALIFIED <br />VENDORS FOR A NEW TIME, ATTENDANCE AND SCHEDULING <br />SOFTWARE SYSTEM WITH COORDINATING EQUIPMENT AND <br />FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF <br />THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE <br />COMPANY SELECTED IN THE RFP PROCESS <br />WHEREAS, City Council previously authorized an amendment to our Tyler Technology <br />software to purchase and implement a time, attendance and scheduling software system through <br />the 2024 budget process; and <br />WHEREAS, unfortunately, the software provided by our current financial management <br />company may not meet the needs of the Police and Fire Divisions; and <br />WHEREAS, the need to explore other software companies' platforms is necessary and <br />would be beneficial to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, there are a limited number of companies who may be able to provide a <br />system that meets the needs of our nuanced scheduling procedures and are compatible with our <br />finance system; and <br />WHEREAS, submitted proposals from a wider array of potential partners will be <br />reviewed, rated and chosen by a required committee for, among other matters, price, quality and <br />system compatibility; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Finance Director that the City proceed with <br />the RFP process to determine a compatible time, attendance and scheduling software system. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to solicit or <br />request proposals for a compatible time, attendance and scheduling software system, in accordance <br />with the specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements for said software system <br />with the most qualified vendor to provide such system at a price that is fair and reasonable to the <br />City. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
