The Recreation, Public Parks, and Buildings Committee met on <br />Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Present were Committee Members Gilchrist, Scarl, and <br />Shymske, Council Members Carr and Madden, the Chief of Staff, the Finance Director, the <br />Economic Director, the Service Director, the Safety Director, the Recreation Director, and <br />Guest. <br />• The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Resolution 2026-37 City Hall Roof Bid, a <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide roof replacement at the North Olmsted City Hall, as detailed in <br />the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Director Kearney <br />explained that there are many leaks in the roof at both City Hall and the Service Garage. <br />It is necessary that the roof is fixed to eliminate the leaks.
