CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO.2026 - 50 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR THE I-480 GREAT NORTHERN BOULEVARD BRIDGE LANDSCAPING PROJECT, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the I-480 Great Northern Blvd. bridge is in need of landscaping in order to improve its appearance; and WHEREAS, the necessary specifications to competitively bid for a landscaping contract this year have been prepared and are on file in the Division of Engineering; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide landscaping for the I-480 Great Northern Blvd. bridge, as set forth in the said specifications, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STA TE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide landscaping for the I-480 Great Northern bridge, as detailed in the specifications now on file in the Division of Engineering, and that further, the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
