CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004 -146 <br />BY: Mayor Musial and the Entire City Council <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FROM <br />PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTS FOR DESIGN SERYICES <br />FOR THE CITY HALL REVAMPMENT PROJECT, TO <br />INCLUDE THE CITY HALL ENTRANCE, LOBBY, AND ADA <br />PARKING AND ACCESSIBILITY ROUTE, FURTHER <br />AUTHOItIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF <br />THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />WITH THE ARCHITECTIIRAL FIRM SELECTED IN THE <br />RFP PROCESS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared a request for proposals from <br />professional architects for design services for the City Ha11 Revampment Project, to <br />include the City Hall front entrance, the City Hall lobby, and the ADA parking and <br />accessibility route, in order to improve access to the City Ha11 Administration Building for <br />the physically disabled; and <br />N'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to request proposals for said professional services in accordance with the request <br />for proposals materials prepared by the City Engineer; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he hereby is authorized to <br />request proposals ("RFP") from professional architects for conceptual design services, in <br />accordance with the Request for Proposals (attached hereto as Exhibit A), for the City <br />Hall Revampment Project, to include a redesign of the City Ha11 frorrt entrance, the City <br />Hall lobby, and the ADA parking and accessibility route, in order to improve access to the <br />City Hall Administration Building for the physically disabled. <br />SECTIDN 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of the <br />Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the architectural firm selected in the RFP <br />
