<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 20 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A FY2004 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG') FROM CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY PROVIDING FUNDING FOR COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLANNING CONSULTATION SERVICES TO ASSIST WITH THE <br />CITY'S 2004 REVISIONS TO THE CITY MASTER PLAN, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTY SETTING FORTH <br />THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE GRANT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />N'HEREAS, on October 21, 2003, this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2003-129, <br />authorizing and directing the Director of Human Resources to make application on behalf of <br />the City for Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funding for certain proposed <br />City projects, including providing funding for comprehensive planning consultation services to <br />assist with the City's 2004 revisions to the City Master Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, on or about February 3, 2004, the Cuyahoga County Department of <br />Development announced that an award in the amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) <br />had been made to the City of North Olmsted for funding for said planning consultation services <br />for the City's Master Plan; and <br />N'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with Cuyahoga County providing for the terms and conditions upon which the said <br />award of funding will be made to the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted accepts the FY2004 Community <br />Development Block Grant ("CDBG") in the amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) for <br />comprehensive planning consultation services to assist with the City's 2004 revisions to the <br />City Master Plan, and authorizes the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cuyahoga County <br />providing for the terms and conditions of the said grant. Said contract sha11 be in a form and <br />substance that is not substantially adverse to the City and which is approved by the Director of <br />Law. The character of the contract as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be <br />evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of <br />the agreement by the Director of Law. <br />
