- ., ,- N. ... > , . ? ? <br />'k <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 89 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN OHIO DIVISION OF EMS <br />AIRWAY EQUIPMENT GRANT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE ANY CONTRACT OR <br />OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE IN <br />ORDER TO EFFECTUATE ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT. <br />WHEREAS, application has been made to, and an award made by, the Ohio Division of <br />EMS for an Airway Equipment Grant to be used by the City fbr the purpose of purchasing <br />intubation equipment for use by the Fire Department's paramedics; and <br />R'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize acceptance of the said grant and <br />further to authorize the Mayor to execute any contract or other documents necessary and <br />appropriate in order to effectuate acceptance of the grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Airway Equipment Grant awarded by the Ohio Division of EMS in <br />the amount of Two Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Four pollars and Eight-Three Cents <br />($2,124.83), for the purpose of purchasing intubation equipment for use by the Fire Department's <br />paramedics, is accepted, and the Mayor is authorized to execute any contract or other necessary <br />and appropriate documents required by the terms and conditions of the said grant. Any contract <br />executed shall be in a form and substance that is not substantially adverse to the City and which is <br />approved by the Director of Law. The character of the contract as not being substantially adverse <br />to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of'the contract by the Mayor and the <br />approval of the contract by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force on and after the <br />earliest period provided for by law. <br />?._. <br />PASSED: c, G <br />; <br />First Readzng: <br />Second Reading <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: <br />
