<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - 10 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING TO <br />PROCEED WITH NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE SALE OF CITY-OWNED <br />REAL PROPERTYIN THE NORTH OLMSTED INDUSTRIAL PARK, <br />IDENTIFIED AS PERMANENT PARCEL NUMBERS 234-11-139 AND 234- <br />11-141, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT TO SELL THE REAL PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City owns approximately six and three-quarters (6.75) acres of <br />undeveloped light industry zoned real property in the North Olmsted Industrial Park, known as <br />Permanent Parcel Nos. 234-11-139 and 234-11-141, which was originally purchased by the City <br />for the purpose of constructing a bus garage, and which is no longer needed for any municipal <br />purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is expending resources to own and maintain the property, and the <br />Mayor and Director of Planning accordingly recommend that it be sold; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Planning and the City Economic Development Consultant <br />have received inquires from interested potential buyers regarding the subject real property; and <br />WHEREAS, the property does not abut any residential property in the City and is entirely <br />surrounded by other light industry property and Interstate 480, and therefore is not subject to the <br />residential notice provisions of Section 959.01 of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of <br />Planning to proceed with negotiations related to the sale of this real property, and to further <br />authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract for the sale of the real property at a price that is no <br />less than three-quarters of the appraised value of the property; <br />NO W THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CO UNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council finds that the real property owned by the City, locate-' in <br />the North Olmsted Industrial Park, identified as Permanent Parcel Numbers 234-11-139 and 234- <br />11-141, and consisting of approximately six and three-quarters (6.75) acres of undeveloped land <br />zoned for light industrial use, is surplus real property for which the City has no municipal use. <br />
