?1 CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2008-7 By: Mayor O'Grady A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO VARIO US A GREEMENTS WITH GREA T AMERICA LEASING CORPORATION FOR THE PLACEMENT AND SERVICE OF A NEW POSTAGE APPLICATION MACHINE FOR THE VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS' MAIL. WHEREAS, the City's current postage machine is old and needs to be replaced; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Director of Public Service to lease a new postage machine from Great America Leasing Corporation; and WHEREAS, this proposed contract expenditure is greater than $5,000.00, but less than $25,000.00, and therefore is not required to be competitively bid, but does require approval of this Council; and WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement or agreements with Great America Leasing Corporation for the placement and service of a new postage application machine for the various City Departments' mail; NO W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CO UNCIL OF THE CIT Y OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement or agreements with Great America Leasing Corporation for the placement of a new postage application machine for the various City Departments' mail. The contract or contracts shall be in form and substance of the attached Rental Agreement, Service Contract, Lease Agreement, with Non-Appropriation of Funds Addendum, having a total of six (6) pages, marked as Exhibit A and attached hereto, with only such changes to be hereinafter made in said contracts as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the Director of Law. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period provided by law.
