?1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-7 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO <br />VARIO US A GREEMENTS WITH GREA T AMERICA LEASING <br />CORPORATION FOR THE PLACEMENT AND SERVICE OF A NEW <br />POSTAGE APPLICATION MACHINE FOR THE VARIOUS CITY <br />DEPARTMENTS' MAIL. <br />WHEREAS, the City's current postage machine is old and needs to be replaced; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Director of Public Service to lease a new postage <br />machine from Great America Leasing Corporation; and <br />WHEREAS, this proposed contract expenditure is greater than $5,000.00, but less than <br />$25,000.00, and therefore is not required to be competitively bid, but does require approval of <br />this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into a five-year lease agreement or agreements with Great America Leasing Corporation for the <br />placement and service of a new postage application machine for the various City Departments' <br />mail; <br />NO W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CO UNCIL OF THE CIT Y OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a five-year <br />lease agreement or agreements with Great America Leasing Corporation for the placement of a <br />new postage application machine for the various City Departments' mail. The contract or <br />contracts shall be in form and substance of the attached Rental Agreement, Service Contract, <br />Lease Agreement, with Non-Appropriation of Funds Addendum, having a total of six (6) pages, <br />marked as Exhibit A and attached hereto, with only such changes to be hereinafter made in said <br />contracts as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of <br />Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be <br />evidenced conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the <br />Agreement by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period provided by law. <br />
