pft,, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-21 <br />BY: COUNCILMEMBER KASLER <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE APPLICATION OF HENNIE <br />HOMES, INC., TO ANNEX CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN OLMSTED <br />TOWNSHIP, CONSISTING OF 23.4428 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED <br />SOUTH OF COOK ROAD NEAR BRONSON ROAD, TO THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLM5TED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Hennie Homes, Inc., in 1999 filed a petition with the Cuyahoga County <br />Board of Commissioners requesting that certain territory consisting of 23.4428 acres of land <br />which it owns on the south side of Cook Road, across the street and contiguous to the Cinnamon <br />Wood Subdivision on the north side of Cook Road, and which is entirely located in Olmsted <br />Township, be annexed to the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C. Section 709.031, the City ofNorth Olmsted, on August <br />17, 1999, adopted Resolution No. 99-104, containing a statement indicating the municipal <br />services which would be provided to the territory proposed for annexation upon annexation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners, on December 14, 1999, <br />approved the said petition for annexation; entered an order upon its journal allowing the <br />annexation; and thereafter, on or about December 27, 1999, submitted its certified transcript of its <br />proceedings to the Clerk of this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C. Section 709.04, no earlier than sixty (60) days following <br />receipt of notice of the action taken by the Board of County Commissioners, the City of North <br />Olmsted may resolve whether to accept or reject the annexation of the said property; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to accept the proposed annexation; <br />NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council hereby resolves that the annexation to the City of North <br />Olmsted of the certain territory located in Olmsted Township, owned by Hennie Homes, Inc., <br />consisting of 23.4428 acres of land and located south of Cook Road near Bronson Road, as <br />described above, should be and hereby is accepted by the City of North Olmsted. <br />'01
