CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 17 <br />BY: Mayor Norman T. Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SIDEWALK AND ACCESSORY IMPROVEMENTS IN <br />BRQOKPARK ROAD AS DETAILED IN THE PLAN5 AND SPECIFICATIONS ON <br />FILE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the necessary plans and specifications, as prepared under the direction of the <br />Engineering Department of the City of North Olmsted, axe on file; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a grant for this project from the Ohio Public Works <br />Commission in the amount of $1,815,052.00 for Phase 2 work already completed and for this <br />phase of work; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for sidewalk and accessory improvements in Brookpark Road according to <br />plans and specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Contract and execute same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of a11 members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />AT ST: , <br />'? - <br />tbara L.
