Musial <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99- 61 <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE <br />AMENDED AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING THE WESTSHORE COUNCIL OF <br />GOVERNMENTS, AND AS FURTHER DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" <br />WfEREAS: since 1971 the City of North Olmsted has been a member of the Westshore Council of <br />Governments and the entity established by the Council of Governments called the Westshore <br />Enforcement Bureau; and <br />WHEREAS: the Westshore Council of Governments is governed by Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS: the members of the Westshore Council of Governments voted unanimously at the <br />meeting held on March 9, 1999 to amend the Agreement for the establishment of the Westshore <br />Council of Governments. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the <br />Agreement establishing the Westshore Council of Governments, as further described in the attached <br />Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the <br />preservation of public peace, health and safety, and for the further reason that the Westshore Council <br />of Governments must remain in continuous necessitating that its Agreement be updated in a timely <br />manner, and provided it receives the affirmative note of two-thirds (2/3) of all members of Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, <br />otherwise it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSEn <br />? <br />a' <br />Barbara L.
