CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 99-60 BY: MAYOR MUSIAL AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) PARCELS OF VACANT LAND LOCATED IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK (PERMANENT PARCEL NLTMBERS 234-11-139 AND 23411-141) IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROJECT TQ CONSTRUCT A NEW CITY BUS GARAGE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of North Olmsted to purchase vacant land in the Industrial Park for the purpose of relocating the City's bus garage to a new location on the west end of the City; and WHEREAS, the City has obtained appraisals for two parcels of vacant property located in the Industrial Park, said parcels being identified as Permanent Parcel Numbers 234-11-139 and 234-11-141, and together having a total size of 6.75 acres; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Director of Public Service have entered into negotiations with the owners of the said two parcels of vacant property; and WHEREAS, the Mayor has reached preliminary agreement with the owners of one of the said parcels of real property for the purchase of said parcel; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to support the current negotiations by the Mayor and the Director of Public Service, and further to authorize the Mayor to enter into agreements for the purchase of both said properties which will be contingent upon subsequent ratification of the purchase price by this Council and the approval of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreements for the purchase of the two vacant parcels of real property in the Industrial Park known as Permanent Parcel Numbers 234-11-139 and 234-11-141.
