CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-02 <br />BY: MAYOR M[7SIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NORTH OLMSTED FIRE FIGHTERS <br />LOCAL 1267, I.A.F.F., WHICH AGREEMENT IS TBE COLLECTIVE <br />BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN TBE CITY AND TBE <br />NORTH OLMSTED FIRE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department through the North Olmsted Fire Fighters Local <br />1267, I.A.F.F., has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the Fire <br />Department; and <br />WfIEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the Fire <br />Department aud concluded that bargaining with an agreement which is satisfactory to the <br />administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into the <br />Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the Administration. <br />NOW, TI-EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TBE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with the North Olmsted <br />Fire Fighters Local 1267 I.A.F.F., a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof and marked, `Exbibit A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits specified <br />in said Agreement shall be January 1, 1999 through December 31, 2001. <br />
