<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 -171 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CRACKSEALING ON VARIOUS <br />STREETS IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AS PER <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN HIS OFFICE, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, IF <br />NECESSARY, TO ENTER INTO A COIVTRACT FOR SAME AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the bid specifications, as prepared by the Director of Public Service, are on <br />file with the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the <br />Boazd of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract for cracksealing on various streets in the <br />City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />5ECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted according to <br />plans and specifications now on file in his office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of <br />Control, if necessary, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same <br />on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately due to the fact <br />that the existing contract expires December 31, 2003, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: l, vo First Reading: I a- ? <br />SecondReading: 1Q bc? <br />Third Reading: i ? <br />A" Committee: ? <br />ST.• <br />?c..?.u?.
