<br />r <br />? <br />?. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 -146 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR LABORATORY ANALYTICAL <br />SER11ICES FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; <br />FURTHER AIITHORIZING THE MAYOR, UPON APPROYAL OF <br />THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Wastewater Treatment Plant obtain laboratory <br />analytical services for the year 2004 in order to meet the requirements of its June 28, <br />2000 NPDES Permit; and <br />WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted requires that said services <br />be obtained through competitive bidding with a written contract awarded to the lowest <br />and best bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, technical bid specifications for said contract are on file in the office <br />of the Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to solicit bids for the said contract in accordance with the specifications on file in <br />the office of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent, and to further authorize the <br />Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTIONI: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to advertise for bids for a contract for laboratory analytical services for the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant for the yea.r 2004 in accordance with specifications now on <br />file in the office of the Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and further <br />that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into a <br />contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and <br />best bidder. <br />
