y. , CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2003 - 97 BY: Mayor Musial AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1321. Ol (GENERAL BUILDING FEES; CONTRACTOR REGISTRATI019 OF CHAPTER 1321 OF THE BIIILDING CODE ENTITLED "PERMIT AND INSPECTION FEES" IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT'S PLANS EXAMINATION FEES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City has recently contracted with a Class II plans examiner to provide plans examiner services to the Building Department; and - WHEREAS, the fees that the City currently charges contractors for examination of plans is insufficient to cover the payment which the City makes to the Class II plans examiner for providing such services; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Building Commissioner that the City's fees for examination of plans (Paragraph (u) of Section 1321.01) include a new chaxge entitled "Review of shop drawings (fire alarm, sprinkler, HVAC etc.) not submitted as part of the original documents" in the amount of $100.00, together with an additional charge of $2.75 per 100 square feet; and WHEREAS, consistent with the recommendation of the Building Commissioner, it is the desire of this Council to increase the fees charged for examination of plans so that the increased fees are sufficient to cover the City's administrative expenses incurred in the examination of plans, including the payments that the City makes pursuant to contract with its Class II plans examiner; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND 5TATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Section 1321.01 (General Building Fees; Contractor Registration) of Chapter 1321.01 of the Building Code, entitled "Permit and Inspection Fees," which presently reads in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached to this Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein, be amended, and, as amended, shall read in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit B, which is likewise attached to this Ordinance and likewise incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein. SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed.
