? ? ? ct, CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 2003=4-8 BY.• Councilman George Nashar AN ORDINANCE CREATING NEW SECTION 1126.09 OF CHAPTER 1126 OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING CODE TO ESTABLISH A REQUIREMENT THAT CERTAIN COMMERCIAL BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS SUBMIT A MASTER SIGN PI.AN IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE SICN CODE (CHAPTER 1163), AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, this Council has received a recommendation from the Board of Zoning Appeals to consider legislation requiring certain commercial developments to submit, in conjunction with initial building permit applications, a master signage plan which demonstrates compliance with the Sign Code, Chapter 1163; and WHEREAS, this Council, by and through its Building Zoning and Development Committee, routinely reviews applications for commercial development pursuant to Chapter 1126 and would benefit by the submission of a master signage plan for multiple tenant developments which demonstrates compliance with the Sign Code, Chapter 1163; and N'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish a standardized Master Sign Plan process for the Architectural Review Board, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and Council to examine, in conjunction with the review of commercial building permit applications pursuant to Chapter 1126, and assure compliance with the Sign Code, Chapter 1163; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on the e day of ?a-. , 2003, by formal motion, recommended that this Ordinance, proposing to amend Chapter 1126 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted by changing the requirements for certain commercial building permits by requiring a Master Sign Plan be (approved)(disapproved); and WHEREAS, following publication of newspaper notice, a public hearing was held in conformance with the provisions of Secti 14 of Article IV of the Charter and Section 1127.03 of the Zoning Code, on the &day of f, 2003.
