I <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 95 - 99 <br />BY: Mayor Ed Boyle <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />POLYTECH INC. TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR PAVEMENT, <br />DRAINAGE AND TRAFFIC CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS FOR MILL ROAD <br />AND PORTIONS OF PORTER ROAD, DOVER CENTER ROAD AND LORAIN <br />ROAD. <br />WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a$704,000.00 grant from the Ohio Public <br />Works Commission for this project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the engineering firm of <br />Polytech Inc., be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in this <br />field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby express <br />its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf of the <br />City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />an Agreement with Polytech Inc., to provide engineering services for Pavement, Drainage <br />and Traffic Control Improvements for Mill Road and portions of Porter Road, Dover <br />Center Road and Lorain Road. A copy of said Agreement is attached hereto and made a <br />part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be any emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering <br />services for this project to stay within the schedule required by the Ohio Public Works <br />Commission, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />?. ,??. . _. , . . , .,. _ <br />? .,. .
