~, / ';~. <br />w ~ ~ ~'a <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 72- ~~~ <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 537.12 OF THE <br />GENERAL OFFENSES CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, OHIO , (CODIFIED ORDINANCES) EN- <br />TITLED " PETIT LARCENY." TO CONFORM TO CHANGES <br />ENACTED BY THE OHS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the <br />City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted General Offenses Code he reviewed <br />to eliminate any conflicts with the provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted by <br />the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That Section 5 3 7.12 , Chapter 5 3 7 (Codified Ordinanc a s) of <br />the 14orth Olmsted General Offenses reading as follows <br />537.12 PETIT LARCENY. <br />No person shall steal anything of value (ORC 2907.20 ) <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows <br />537.12 PETIT LARCENY. <br />No person shall steal anything of vailue. <br />Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemea8or <br />if the thing stolen is not a firearm, as defined herein, of what- <br />ever value, and if the value of the thing stolen is less than <br />sixty dollars ($60.00) . <br />As used in this section, "firearm "means any weapon which is <br />designed ~ eject or propel a projectile by the action of an ex- <br />plosive or combustible propellant, but does not include firearms <br />which are inoperable ar~d cannot be rendered operable. <br />( ORC 2907.20 <br />Section 2. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances, or resolutions o~ parts <br />or resolut+~ons ,inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance, are hereby re- <br />pealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3.
