3 ~~- e BY: CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 72- J,Z„ .::~' Amended: 6-6-72 AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 1349.OR OF CHAPTER 1349, PART 13, AND AMENDING SECTION 1349.05 ENTITLED "SPECIFICATIONS FOR INCINR- ATOR " OF CHAPTER 1349. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio Section 1. That Part 13 entitled "Building Code ", Chapter 1349 entitled " Garbage Incinerators" shall be amendedby enacting 1349.02 and title :Garbage Incinerators required for Dwelling Other Than Single Family or Two Family Residences. That all dwelling units, other than Single Family or Two Family Residences, the construction of which or for which a permit is applied for con- struction on or after the effective date of this Ordinance, may ,prior to occupancy thereof for residential purposes, be equipped with a properly installed incinerator which conforms with the specifications provided in Section 1349.05. In the case of Multiple-Residence Building which incinerator of adequate capacity readily avail- able to occupants of all dwelling units therein shall be sufficient for the purposes of this Chapter. Section 2. That Part 13, entitled "Building Code ", Chapter 1349 entitled " Garbage Incinerator ", Section 1349.05 entitled "Specification for Incinerators " now reading as follows : 1349.05 Specifications For Incinerators . For the purposes of this Chapter, the following specifications are prescribed for garbage incinerators. (a) They shall be of a type tested, approved and listed by the American teas Association in its current Directory of Approved Appliances and Listed Accessories, and shall be installed in accordance with the provisions of the National Building Code, 1955, or current edition, or other current standards of the American Insurance Association, or in accordance with published current regulations of The East Ohio Gas Company. If activated electrically it shall bear evidence of Underwriters' Laboratories , Inc . , approval . (b) They shall operate so as to completely consume wet or dry garbage by burning it to ash without causing noisome, offensive or noxious odors, vapors or gases, and without the discharge or emission into the atmosphere of sparks, ash or the powdered residue of the sub- stance which has been burned. be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows 1349.05 Specifications For Incinerators . (a) They shall be of a type tested, approved and listed by the American Gas Association in its current Directory of Approved Appliances and Listed Accessories, and shall be installed in accordance with the provisions of the National Building Code, 1955, or current edition, or other current standards of the American Insurance Association, or in accordance with published current regulations of The East Ohio Gas Company. If activated electrically, it shall bear evi- dence of Underwriters; Laboratories, Inc. , approval.
