~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 72 - ~'~ <br />BY ~ <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION <br />TO BE PAID TD T~iE MAINTENANCE Ei~LE'LOYEES <br />OF THE NORTH OLMSTED M'~NICIPAL BUS LINE, <br />AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 71-52, ENACTED <br />APRIL 20, 1971, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee and the Finance Committee has <br />recommended an adjustment in the pay rate of the maintenance employees of the <br />North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and <br />WHEREAS, Council is desirous of making an adjustment in the <br />compensation for maintenance employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That retroactive to March 1, 1972, employees holding the <br />following position in the employ of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line <br />shall be paid the salaries and wages as hereinafter determined: <br />General Manager $10,700.00 to $13,546.00 Annually <br />Superintendent $ 9,630.00 to $12,417.00 Annually <br />Supervisor of Operations $ 8,560.00 to $11,362.00 Annually <br />Supervisor of Maintenance $ 8,560.00 to $11,362.00 Annually <br />Equipment Mechanic $ 3.48 to $ 4.52 Per Hour <br />Equipment Service men $ 2.94 to $ 3.67 Per Hour <br />Extra Labor $ 1.61 to $ 3.10 Per Hour <br />Secretary $ 4,280.00 to $ 5,644.00 Annually <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. <br />A. That excluding secretarial and clerical employees and retroactive <br />to September 1, 19b8, all full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line have completed five (5) years of full time continuous service as <br />employees of said bus Line shall be paid an additional 37 of their base annual <br />salary until they have completed their tenth (10) year of continuous full time <br />service, after completing their tenth(10) year and prior to completion of their <br />fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service they shall beapaid 4x of <br />their base annual salary, after completion of their fifteenth (15) year and <br />prior to completion of their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time .service <br />they sell be laid 5% of their base annual salary, after completion of their <br />twentieth (20)-~year of continuous full time service and thereafter they shall <br />be paid 6% of their base annual salary. These payments shall be longevity <br />increments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance Department of the <br />City of North Olmsted Ohio. <br />B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of longevity increments hereinabove set fotth, no credit shall be gran for <br />part-time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing <br />longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive <br />an¢ employee of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service <br />as employee in the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />B - 1. The secretarial and clerical help of the Municipal Bus Line <br />of the City of North Olmsted shall receive, as a longevity increment, the sum <br />of $25.00. This longevity increment shall be payable over and above any annual <br />salary or hourly salary paid to said secretary or clerical help, and shall be at <br />the rate of $25.00 for each and every year said secretary or clerical help has <br />been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. To be paid in a lump <br />sum on anniversary date of employment. <br /> <br />
