<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMBTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 71- ~~~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PUBLIC <br />SERVICE OF COUNCILMAN JOHN J. GRADY, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />~~ <br />WHEREAS, on December 31, 1971 Councilman john J. Grady completes his <br />term of office ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman John J. Grady has represented Ward 4 from January I, <br />1970 to December 31, 1971, a period of two (2) years of dedicated service to the <br />residents in his Ward and also to the entire City of North Olmsted, using his experi- <br />ance, knowledge and education in performing his councilmanic duties ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman John J. Grady has serfaed as chairman of the ,Inter <br />Goverrental Relations and Legislation Committee of C ouncil ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman john J. Grady has served as committee member of the, <br />Transp~rrtation Committee of Council and the Long Range Planning Committee of <br />Council ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman John j. Grady has worked with other communities and has <br />been very active in the Pollution problems of the West Shore Suburbs and has worked <br />with other communities in air pollution abatement, water pollution abatement, and <br />noise pollution abatement ;and <br />WHEREAS, during his term of service Councilman john j. Grady gave his time <br />never shirking a duty even though, oftentimes, the duty was one which required tact <br />and patience, and required him to take a very controversial position ;and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the members of this Council to express their opinion <br />that the contributions of John j. Grady be recognised with sincere gratitude by the <br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted, by the Administration ,and by all the Officials <br />of the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That the minutes of this Council show the gratitude and appreciation <br />of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, its Administratiave Officers, and the <br />members of this Council to john J. Grady for his two (2) years of devoted public <br />service to the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to send to <br />Councilman John J. Grady a copy of this Resolution, after it has been duly ~xect~#ed. <br />Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, health and <br />welfare of the City.
