~ ,' <br />a <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTE D <br />RESOLUTION NO. 70- ~P~ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />WITH THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION SERSIICE <br />COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING THE INDUSTRIAL <br />COMPENSATION FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUDITED ON A CONTINUAL BASIS AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 67-150, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted has been advised by <br />the Director of Law that a continual audit of Workmen's Compensation .cases is <br />necessary in order to ascertain that the City of North Olmsted is only charged <br />with its actual costs experience ;and <br />WHEREAS, the hiring of a compensation service company will provide <br />necessary safeguards in order to ascertain the lowest workmen's compensation <br />premium for the City of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, the hiring of a workmen's compensation company will be <br />financially advantageous for the City of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, Council has been advised by the Director of Law that in his <br />opinion the Workmen's Compensation Service Company is the best company <br />qualified to perform the services necessary for the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />with the Workmen's Compensation Service Company of Cleveland, Ohio, where- <br />by the Workmen's Compensation Service Company will audit the workmen's <br />compensation records of the City of North Olmsted , will make periodic safety <br />inspections of the North Olmsted Plant and Operations for the purpose of reducing <br />accidents, and will provide the City of North Olmsted with an annual detailed <br />analysis of the accident cost experience with the Industrial Commission of Ohio <br />for the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2. That all ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinance or <br />parts of resolutions, and especially Resolution No. 67-150, inconsistent with <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed with the effective date <br />of this Resolution. <br />
