<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 70- 7~ <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING <br />COMMISSIONER TO PROCEED WITH THE DEMO- <br />LITION OR REMOVAL OF THE DWELLINGS ON <br />PERMANENT PARCEL NO. 232-10-61, LORAIN <br />ROAD, NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1331.01 - 1331.99 <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, the Building Commissioner <br />has determined that the abandoned dwellings known as Permanent Parcel No. 232- <br />10-61 and located at 27738 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, the record title holder <br />is A & I. R. R. Co. , is unsafe, dangerous to human life and a hazard to the safety , <br />health and public welfare of the citizens of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, notice to repairp remove and demolish said buildings was served <br />by certified mail on said record title holder on December 8, 1969, ordering said <br />title holder to repair, remove or demolish said dwellings and to commence such <br />repair, removal or demolition within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of said <br />notice ;and <br />WHEREAS, said notice informed the record title holder of his right to appeal <br />the condemnation order of the Building Commissioner within fifteen (15) days ; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said record title holder, A & I. R. R. Co. , failed to file an appeal <br />within the fifteen (I5) days and has failed to comply with the order of the Building <br />Commissioner. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT O~tDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That Council deems it necessary to proceed with the demolition <br />and removal of the dwellings or accessory buildings at 27738 Lorain Road, North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, also known as Permanent Parcel No. 232-10-61, owned by <br />A & I. R. R. Co. , whose mailing address is 719 National City Bank Building, <br />Cleveland, Ohio by reason of the fact that said dwellings have been determined <br />to be dangerous to human life and a hazard to the public safety, health, and welfare <br />of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, and that the cost of said demolition <br />and removal be paid from the General Fund of the City of North Olmsted and charged <br />to the owner as a special assessment or lien on said parcel of land , and assessed <br />and collected in the manner of other assessments as provided by law. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council he and she is hereby directed to <br />forward to A. & I. R. R. Co. , at 719 National City Bank Building . , Cleveland, Ohio, <br />a copy of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />
